DIY Lip Scrub with Vitamin E - The Sweet Seed
Do-it-yourself lip scrubs are certainly trending at the moment, and with good reason. They consist of items that are most likely stocked in your pantry already and they are a snap to put together. Why spend your hard-earned cash on a product that’s just as easy to make yourself?

Below is my recipe. The best DIY lip scrubs include a sticky element, an oily element, and an exfoliating element. I like to add a little vitamin E because of the antioxidant properties. I happened to have vitamin E capsules in my medicine cabinet and simply pierced them with a pin to use the ingredient in the recipe. You can also include additional components to enhance the color or the smell of the scrub, but I find that this simple version is quite delicious.

Treat yourself at home and rub away dry, peeling skin to reveal lips that are velvety smooth.

Vitamin E Lip Scrub
Makes: 1 small container’s worth

1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp coconut oil or olive oil
1 tsp vitamin E

1. Mix ingredients together in bowl until everything is combined and spoon the mixture into an empty container of your choice.

2. Apply the scrub by rubbing your lips with your finger in a circular motion.

3. Rinse. Apply lip balm immediately to lock in moisture.

*Note: Adjust amount of ingredients to how much product you’d like to make. And if you don’t have vitamin E on hand, just substitute the ingredient with more coconut oil or olive oil.
